Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to support students' academic, social, and emotional development while promoting a love for learning. Motivated individuals who handle stress well, as well as the ability to nurture and care for children by providing a safe and clean environment are a must.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives.
- Support the development of age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment by effectively communicating with students, including those with disabilities and autism.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
- Engage with students during playtime and structured activities to encourage social interaction and skill development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Potty training guidance.
- Following state mandated requirements for diaper changes, feeding, play, etc.
- Following state mandated requirements for cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and toys.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development practices.
- Familiarity with lesson planning techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for children and encouraging their development.
