What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Grad Dental Assistant position at Little Heroes Pediatric Dentistry?
Little Heroes Pediatric Dentistry is looking for multiple New Grad Expanded Function Dental Assistants/Dental Assistants for our Anderson and New Castle offices. We do not require any experience, but do require atleast a provisional radiology license that you have to apply for when you finish a dental assisting course. This is a unique opportunity to get Pediatric Dental Assistant Training which is a highly prized specialty. We are not a corporate office, and are not bound by annual performance reviews. As a result, top performers will get pay increments and bonuses as they reach higher levels set in our training program.

Responsibilities (DA/EFDA role)
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from
- Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
