The RN Case Manager (RNCM) is accountable for overseeing the care of pediatric patients, tailoring it to their specific needs and care plans through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. The Registered Nurse coordinates referrals to primary care providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community services. In addition to direct patient care, the RN takes a comprehensive approach to addressing the physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, educational, and psychosocial needs of both the child and their family. The RN will also provide guidance to the child and family on immediate care requirements and strategies for prevention.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure eligible in the state of Florida.
- Recent graduate with a provisional RN license.
- Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems.
- Preferred: At least 2 years of current experience as a practicing RN with pediatric experience.
- Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD) required.
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to care plans.
- Manage patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Oversee catheterization and IV insertion procedures while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on best practices and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with BLS and CPR certification requirements among team members.

Pay: $36.62 - $39.57 per hour
