CSR/TELLER Job Description

General job description
The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide excellent customer service while multi-tasking and displaying a positive, professional demeanor at all times. They would be able to learn quickly and be open to handling a challenging environment daily.
Major duties and Responsibilities:
Perform basic paying and receiving functions such as check cashing, handling deposits, withdrawals, loan and escrow accounts, balance currency and coin, fill customer change orders, process mail and night depository, process cash advances, issue official checks and gift cards, prepare stop payment requests, balance coin counter, buy and sell cash internally to and from vault supply. Accurately and efficiently process all transactions/work though assigned capture machine. Ensure all work processed individually has been captured and balanced. Answer phones and direct traffic. Safeguard assigned currency and coin and follow cash limits based on procedures and policy. This person will also assist with online banking, issuing debit cards and assist customers with Business Banking/emobile- onboarding/maintenance- Backup the new account area and assist with maintenance.

Promote the improvement of Little Horn State Bank through quality customer service, promotion of products, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic. Greet all customers pleasantly and make them feel welcome. Handle transactions quickly and professionally, use effective listening skills to identify and resolve customer needs.
Qualifications for the job/education/experience:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalency

Only minimum responsibilities are listed. Other responsibilities may be required by management.

Experience:

1-2 years teller/cash handling experience- Previous and recent experience using Fiserv navigator/teller platform

Other:

Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Very good interpersonal/team skills with ability to develop effective working relationships

Constant lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. Constantly required to hear, talk, write, read, keyboard/computer entry, reach, stretch, work under time constraints with needed ability for task management flexibility and to perform routine duties with attention for details. Constant abilities used/required on the job are mathematics, memory, reasoning, estimating, problem-solving and exercising judgment.

Frequently lift or carry up to 25 lbs. stand, walk or sit while maintaining oral and written communication with customers and transactions with guidance available.

Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Infrequently climb (up ladders etc.) balance (to reach items) or drive a car.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Constantly works with others, around others and with customers and the public. Constantly works indoors, in confined areas and is exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Frequently works around noise (moderate level). The employee must have the ability to focus on tasks and customers while hearing teller machines (of other tellers), conversations of others, coin sorter, music, phones etc. in a confined area. Infrequently the employee works alone and also works near moving objects. The employee is also infrequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
