Kickin’ It Kids Gym is a space where we foster a passion for physical activity through enjoyable play experiences. Our gym contains a state-of-the-art indoor playground that offers endless fun for kiddos in addition to a diverse list of classes. JOB OVERVIEW
Our classes are one of the driving forces that bring clients through the doors, and our teachers are an integral part of making these a success. Whether it is a class full of Squirrels or Tigers, teachers are expected to bring high energy, a smiling face and individualized attention. We want kiddos to be excited about coming to class and seeing their teachers each week, and this all starts with a positive attitude, and attention to detail!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching fun, play-based classes for children--primarily toddlers--that build movement skills, coordination, and stability through engaging games, obstacle courses, and interactive activities, including

RESPONSIBILITIES
Curriculum Familiarization and Assessment
- Study and understand the weekly curriculum provided by the gym, ensuring readiness to deliver structured and engaging classes.
- Complete e-learning quizzes associated with the curriculum weekly to validate comprehension and maintain consistency in class delivery.
Classroom Set-Up / Breakdown
- Arrange equipment and stations according to the weekly curriculum, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and play.
- Design and execute free play activities, leveraging creativity to develop diverse and exciting play setups aligned with curriculum themes.
Teaching/Coaching
- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities and games for children and guardians, ages from infancy-tweens, in accordance with the gym's curriculum and program objectives.
- Provide individualized attention and support to children and guardians during classes, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clientele at all times, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of class activities.
Client Engagement
- Foster positive interactions with parents/guardians by providing regular updates on their child's progress and participation in classes, addressing any concerns or questions they may have in a timely and professional manner.
- Encourage parent involvement in their child's gym experience by providing opportunities for observation, participation, and feedback, fostering a sense of partnership and collaboration in supporting the child's development and enjoyment of the program.
- Engage with parents on the playground, ensuring that they are receiving a top tier client experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Early childhood educators are highly desired!
- A passion for promoting active and healthy lifestyles and community for children
- Experience working with children in a professional setting
- Experience with curriculum development a plus!
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to clients
- Positive, upbeat energy that can translate to kiddos, families, and coworkers
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $23 - $26 / hour commensurate with experience
- PTO and Sick Leave for part time staff!
- 401(k) with matching contribution (100% matching for first 3%, 50% matching for next 2%)
- Staff working at least 24 hours are eligible for health care with 60% of premiums covered for employee and 50% of premiums covered for dependents
