Kindergarten Teacher – Little Kings & Queens Charter Academy
Location: East Ridge, TN (Hamilton County)
Little Kings & Queens Charter Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school committed to fostering academic excellence through a traditional education model combined with holistic approaches that support the whole child. As we prepare to open in August 2025, we are seeking passionate educators dedicated to student success, strong foundational learning, and character development.

We are looking for a dedicated Kindergarten teacher to establish a strong academic foundation for our youngest learners while nurturing their emotional, social, and physical development.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging instruction aligned with Tennessee State Standards
- Develop structured, content-rich lessons that emphasize foundational literacy and numeracy skills
- Establish a well-managed classroom with clear expectations and routines
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special needs and English language learners
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Engage in professional growth through collaboration and reflective teaching practices
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee teaching certification in Elementary Education (K-5) or eligibility for reciprocity if certified in another state
- Special Education (SPED) and English as a Second Language (ESOL) endorsements required
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- Passion for early childhood education and experience in high-need or Title I settings is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
- Commitment to traditional educational values, collaboration, and student success
