Preschool TeacherLocation: Eagle River, AKStart Date: August 11, 2025Pay: $18-$21 per hour (based on experience)
Our small Christian preschool is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. If you have a passion for early childhood education and fostering a nurturing learning environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a warm and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning
- Maintain a structured daily routine that balances learning, play, and rest
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Assess and document student progress through observation and informal assessments
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development and classroom activities
- Assist with basic care tasks such as snack time, handwashing, and transitions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support a cohesive and enriching learning experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a teacher, teacher’s assistant, or aide or similar role
- Passion for fostering children’s overall development and education
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment
- CPR certification (preferred but not required)
