Little Learner Children's Academy is a privately-owned childcare center with locations in Minooka, Crest Hill, Yorkville, Bolingbrook and Naperville. Our goal is to create a safe, loving and nurturing environment that makes parents feel comfortable while they are at work. We are currently looking for a Subsidy and Food Program Manager to join our team.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am -5:00pm
This position works out of our Plainfield Headquarters and requires travel to each of the center locations.
Job Description
This position works with families to complete all required paperwork from beginning to end. In addition, monitor all their paperwork through changes and redeterminations and follow up on all cases.
This includes working with these agencies: DCFS. IDHS, and Childcare Aware.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for state worksheet approvals. Must make sure all worksheets are completed in a timely fashion.
- Ensure all information is entered into the state account on Pro Care by the end of each month.
- Responsible for state and foster certificate review and approvals.
- Responsible for checking the food program numbers on a daily basis.
- Ensure that the monthly food program menu is entered correctly.
- Train new leadership and staff to ensure program accuracy.
- Create training guides as needed.
- Review health department visits and ensure school compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with staff and families on a timely basis.
- Maintain knowledge of relief programs in order to correctly answer questions regarding programs.
- Build, maintain, and encourage a productive working relationship with all staff members.
- Handle calls from new and current applicants and answer general questions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must meet Child Care Center Director Qualifications set by DCFS.
- Minimum Associate degree required.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen well, convey thoughts clearly, and work effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with people of diverse social, faith, economic, and racial/ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate instructions to clients; questions and inquiries must be sufficiently addressed to avoid confusion and misinterpretation.
- Willingness to travel to the center locations.
