This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of early childhood education while overseeing multiple childcare centers including Lapeer, Metamora and Washington Township, Michigan. The District Manager ensures the smooth operation of each center within their assigned area, and plays a vital role in the success and growth of the childcare organization. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this position. This job provides a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
Some of the exciting things that you will do as a District Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Serve and protect the Little Learners brand, educating and upholding all company standards and operational practices
- Serve as a skilled business consultant, influencing and guiding Center Directors to successfully operate their centers
- Execute operational strategies designed to drive success across critical performance measures: customer enrollment, retention, productivity, quality, and brand awareness
- Demonstrate competence in communicating and training Center Directors to do the same
- Employ critical thinking to analyze center trends and performance, while providing guidance to help centers improve
- Consistently educate oneself on Little Learners standard operating procedures, and state childcare licensing regulations and ensures centers always comply
- Evaluate enrollment trends for each center within the region, and partners with the marketing team to create and implement action plans
- Build and maintain positive relationships creating an environment of trust and rapport with the employees, teachers and corporate support
- Partner with and support teams within Little Learners, bring all relevant information to weekly management meetings, along with running weekly and monthly Center Director meetings
- Actively seek out resources to minimize and resolve problems; escalate issues appropriately
- Proactively addresses concerns, considering the views and opinions of both internal and external customers
- Consistently work to improve performance for the region and the entire Little Learners Childcare Centers LLC Company
Qualifications for our District Directors include:
- Prior experience as a District Manager or Center Director at a Childcare Center
- Associate's Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Child-Related field
- In depth knowledge of Michigan Child Care Center Licensing rules
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Pass background check requirements with fingerprint clearance
- Provide negative TB test results prior to starting position
- Dependable and flexible self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong leadership with organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency with the ability to learn internal software programs
- Excellent multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
