Summary
Little Lions Learning Center is looking for playful, enthusiastic, and passionate early childhood educators to join our team. We are looking for candidates based on experience, qualifications, values, and attitudes. Holidays : Little Lions Learning Center closes for all major holidays, and all staff is guaranteed off.
Wellbeing : A caring and supportive work environment where you are valued for your amazing work. Our staff is the center of our learning center, and we make sure they know it. We also arrange social gatherings and team-building activities. All little Lion team members are given one half day off each month that is paid for self-care. These days are preplanned in advance.
Personal growth : Little Lions Learning Center supports each team member with continued professional development / growth, and we encourage further training.
Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
Infant / child CPR and First Aid certification.
WI Registry level 7 or higher
Prior early childhood experience
