Job Summary
Dear Amazing EEC-Certified Teachers and Teacher Assistants,
Little Llama Childcare center team is thrilled to announce that our center is growing! We’re opening three brand-new classrooms and are looking for passionate and dedicated teachers and teacher assistants to join our team.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
- Floating Teacher Assistant (1 position, starting January 19th) – Salary: $18–$20/hour
- Preschool Teacher (1 position, starting January 2nd) – Salary: $22–$23/hour
- Infant/Toddler Teacher (1 position, starting January 19th) – Salary: $22–$23/hour
- Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher (1 position, starting January 12th) – Salary: $24–$25/hour
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, social skills, and overall childhood development. The Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive activities.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that promotes literacy education and learning through play.
Requirements
Responsibilities include:
- At least 2 years of childcare experience.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
