Are you passionate about dogs and grooming? Do you love making pets look and feel their best? Join our growing team at Little Luxe Grooming as a Dog Groomer! This role is currently part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as the business grows. It is a requirement that the position will transition to full-time as the clientele grows. You’ll be working in a licensed and permitted residential grooming space, fully equipped with high-end equipment and an aesthetically pleasing environment, and you’ll be the only groomer in the room, ensuring a focused and relaxed atmosphere. This position is perfect for an experienced groomer who enjoys solo grooming.

About Us:

At Little Luxe Grooming, we provide professional, compassionate grooming services to dogs up to 35 lbs, with a few pre-existing clients that have an added fee for slightly larger dogs. Our business is known for its commitment to quality care, a clean and safe environment, and building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. The grooming space is located within our residence in Mountlake Terrace, WA, and the room is conveniently located near the front door for easy client access. Our grooming space is fully licensed and permitted, meeting all local regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of every dog in our care. The space is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, creating a comfortable and professional atmosphere for both pets and groomers, while featuring high-end equipment to help you perform your best work.

Job Description:

As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing a range of grooming services for our furry clients. Your duties will include:

• Bathing, trimming, and styling dogs according to breed standards or owner requests
• Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
• Handling dogs safely and with care
• Maintaining a clean and organized grooming station
• Communicating with pet owners about their pet's grooming needs and any health concerns
• Ensuring a positive, stress-free grooming experience for all dogs
• Working independently as the sole groomer in the room

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of professional dog grooming experience
• Ability to work with dogs up to 35 lbs, and a few slightly larger dogs with an added fee for special handling
• Ability to work with dogs of various breeds and temperaments
• Strong attention to detail and grooming standards
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Part-time availability with the commitment to transition to full-time as the business continues to grow (This transition is a requirement as the clientele expands)
• Reliable vehicle required for transportation to and from the grooming location
• Reliable and responsible work ethic
• Certification in dog grooming or related field is a plus, but not required
