Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in our care. The ideal candidate will have experience in childhood development and a strong commitment to fostering the growth and well-being of young learners. You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. This position will report directly to the director of the daycare.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their exploration and learning.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's development and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with families.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education, preferably as a daycare teacher.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in behavior management techniques to support children's social interactions.
- Ability to provide quality infant care and toddler care in a nurturing environment.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
- Experience with Lilio App is a plus.
- Pre-Service training is a plus.
