What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Little Norway Resort?
We are looking for a seasonal Front Desk Agent/Store Clerk to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation as well as any store purchases. Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about cabins, rates and amenities as well as manage sales and stocking of our small convenience store. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. We also ask that our store clerks assist with hospitality tasks like laundry or Saturday turn-over/cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Perform check-in and check-out tasks
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Greet, interact and monitor customers to assist them in any purchases
- Display and organize products in a store for the customers to locate easily
- Help customers in billing and payment processes at the stores counter
- Maintain the outlook of the store through dusting, cleaning and restocking merchandise on the shelves
- Provide information about our resort, availability, rates and amenities
- Respond to guests’ concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure all cabins and grounds are maintained and cleaned.
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Saturday cleaning/turnover
Preferred Skills
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, Hospitality or similar role
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 45 per week
