Position Overview
As a Pediatric Dental Assistant at Little Ones Pediatric Dentistry, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our young patients while assisting our pediatric dentist in delivering top-quality dental care. We are seeking a positive, energetic individual with experience as a Dental Assistant with Coronal Polishing experience, specifically in a pediatric dentistry setting, who is passionate about children's oral health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
This candidate should possess these skills and qualities as well as previous experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms in a child-friendly manner for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
- Assist pediatric dentists during various dental procedures tailored to children, including examinations, cleanings, sealants, and preventive treatments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring minimal radiation exposure to young patients.
- Help children and their parents feel at ease by creating a welcoming and comforting environment.
- Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of young patients throughout their visit.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the front desk and dental team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program is preferred.
- Coronal Polishing Certified
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification (if required by state regulations).
- Exceptional patience and communication skills when working with children and parents.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a child-friendly, organized work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide excellent care to pediatric patients.
