18 years or older please. This teaching position entails working with 3-5 year old preschoolers. We are hiring for our movement class. Our centers as a whole offer childcare for children ages 3-5 years old and implement the Montessori curriculum throughout our classrooms. Company Description
We seek to arm our young learners with the social, emotional and cognitive skills that will prepare them for their kindergarten experience. Young children learn through the interaction of their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skill development. As such, we aim to focus on and foster a fluid integration of each domain as we teach, guide, care and mentor with a whole-child perspective.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods.
- Ability to engage students and earn their trust and attention.
- Willingness to learn our school's curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher or Daycare provider preferred (although we also do our own training to ensure teachers feel prepared and are sufficiently able to perform their jobs)
- Understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
