Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children
• Perform duties as planned by the Director or Lead Caregiver for the assigned classroom
• Assist in implementing the curriculum planned by the Director or Lead Caregiver
• Interact with the children in a way which conveys respect and nurturing
• Support the social and emotional development of children
• Engage in active play with children; this will often mean getting down on the floor to interact with them
• Assist in providing activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development levels of the children
• Assist in maintaining accurate and appropriate records for children in the assigned classroom.
• Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in your care, including changing diapers or soiled clothing and washing hands
• Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the Center and state guidelines
• Help other staff in preparing meals for children as required
• Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the child care rooms
• Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
• Assist in the development and facilitation of interactive parent and child literacy activities
• Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child’s family and encourage their involvement in the program
• Continue professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and other staff development opportunities
• Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
• Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director

As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, focusing on their early development and learning. Reporting to the Lead Teacher, you will utilize your core skills in classroom management and early childhood education to create engaging lesson plans and activities. Your premium skills in curriculum development and behavior management will enhance the learning experience, while your relevant skills in childcare and toddler care will ensure the well-being of each child. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Infant care: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
