Child Care Director

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to lead our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have a strong early childhood education background and demonstrate excellent leadership and administrative skills.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the child care center
• Ensure compliance with all State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) regulations
• Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with state standards
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance
• Manage budget and financial operations
• Maintain positive relationships with families and community partners
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
• ECE 250 Administrative Course as required by the OEC
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensed child care program, including at least 1 year in an administrative or supervisory capacity
• Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and medication administration
• Knowledge of CT OEC licensing regulations and quality standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in using child care management software
