Middle School Mathematics with Interdisciplinary Interests

Overview of the position:

LREI seeks a full time Middle School Math Teacher to teach math and support the progressive integration of math and science content and skills. The candidate is responsible for teaching and planning collaboratively with their department and grade level partners. LREI is working towards an integrated math and science program and is looking for candidates that are motivated to help design this. Candidates will also be asked to serve as an advisor for a group of middle school students.

Salary Range:

Annual full-time salary of $69,056.52 - $132,556.40 (depending on experience and education).

Specific requirements of the position

• Candidates should be comfortable teaching math and have an interest in finding new ways to integrate science content. A master’s degree in education with a focus on math or a related field and at least three years of successful experience as a teacher are preferred, but alternate pathways into the profession will be considered. Candidates’ pedagogy should be student-centered and candidates should be comfortable differentiating instruction. 

• A commitment to social justice and equity, cultural competence, the ability to work collaboratively, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work closely with families are essential.
