POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Dental Practice Manager the Dental Customer Service Representative II is responsible for training all Dental CSRs, new and existing (as needed) on the Dental CSR process/procedures and use of the electronic practice management systems. In addition, provide training, guidance, and support to CSRs, as well as front office day-to-day activities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, registration of patients, and collection of patient payments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Training Duties:
- Assist Lead CSR with orientation/training of all newly hired Dental CSRs on the policies/procedures of the dental office duties as well as the use of the practice management systems.
- Responsible for training/retraining CSRs on the policies/procedures of the dental office duties as well as the use of the practice management systems.
- Assist Lead CSR with the development of training materials for the orientation and implement training of the Dental CSR staff.
Includes both the Level I and Level II duties but not limited to the following:
Level II Duties:
- Ensuring all charges have accurately crossed over from the DMR to the EMR daily, and double checks end of day paperwork prior to it being scanned.
- Audits two accounts weekly to ensure patient information is up-to date as well as reviewing charges to ensure claim has been processed correctly. Also ensures that proper self-pay amounts are collected.
- Cash drawer audit weekly.
- Ensures telephone is answered with appropriate greeting and messages are checked hourly. Checks email to ensure staff is checking them timely.
- Ensure deposits are taken to the bank and returned with the stamp deposit slip and uploads a copy daily.
- Responsible for distribution of mail daily, ensuring mail that belongs to the provider is given to the Lead Dental Assistant to handle.
- Distribute scanning among staff daily, reports of any backlog to Lead CSR if work is not completed in a timely manner.
- Daily monitoring of insurance benefits for all providers
- Review of provider schedules to ensure patients are assigned to provider of record. Divide providers among staff.
- Monitor that CSRs are wearing their ID badge and meeting dress requirements.
- Compiles monthly office order and submits to Lead CSR.
- Attends all in-service training as required.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality.
- Maintains Center confidentiality and Code of Compliance per policy.
- Greets patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant, professional manner.
- Level I Duties
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year experience as LRMC Dental CSR I preferred, fully trained for check-in, check-out, reviews have been above average, and received outstanding on dependability. Individuals must possess a positive attitude as well as being excellent in customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
