PRN X-Ray Technologist
JOB SUMMARY:
This individual is responsible for operating and maintaining the Radiological facilities, assisting with laboratory duties and assisting the LRMC physicians in the delivery of primary medical care as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but no limited to.
- Prepares patients for x-ray, including assuring necessary precautions and position patients as required to shoot x-rays as ordered.
- Maintains x-ray, darkroom, and exam room in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Submits to Nursing Supervisor, requisition orders and maintains necessary supplies to adequately stock x-ray room and exam rooms.
- Develops and maintains filing system of all x-rays taken.
- Helps in general with maintenance and housekeeping, i.e., keeping appliances clean, locking doors, etc.
- Keeps informed about current developments in the area of rural health care.
- Maintains good public relations with other agencies and coordinates clinical activities offered by them.
- Serves as resource person for other agencies in activities related to health care, or to clinical operation.
- Knowledge of CLIA regulations.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials in the work area and knowledge of haz-com procedures.
- Prepares reports i.e., x-ray reports forwarded to Administrative office monthly for Board meetings.
- Manages time wisely.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
- Ability to shoot clear and accurate x-rays as required. Ability to understand and comply with all regulations regarding safe use of x-ray equipment and properly organize and store x-ray films.
- Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of South Carolina.
