Little Rock Family Dental Care is seeking a skilled, energetic, and hardworking Oral Surgery Assistant with IV sedation experience to join our team. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, PTO, and a 401k plan.
Hours : Part-Time or Full-Time
Part Time Hours :
Tuesday's 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Thursday's- 8 : 00am- 5 : 00pm
Full Time Hours
Monday-Thursday : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Friday's : 8 : 00am- 3 : 00pm
Responsibilities :
Prepare patients for oral surgery procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
Assist in administering and monitoring IV sedation under the supervision of the dentist or oral surgeon.
Set up and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures.
Provide chairside assistance during oral surgery and other dental procedures.
Take and display dental x-rays as needed.
Deliver post-operative care instructions and assist patients during their recovery period.
Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure notes and sedation details.
Keep the surgical and dental rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Schedule patient appointments and follow up on post-surgery check-ins.
Assist with administrative tasks such as payment procedures and patient documentation.
Requirements :
Proven experience as an oral surgery assistant or dental assistant with oral surgery specialization.
Hands-on experience with IV sedation procedures is required.
Knowledge of surgical instruments, dental instruments, and sterilization methods.
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a surgical setting.
Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental x-rays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure patient comfort and clarity.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability.
Basic computer skills.
High school diploma; graduating from a dental or surgical assistant program is required.
