Job Summary
As a Receiver, you will be responsible for managing deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring all goods meet company standards. Your role is essential to the seamless operation of the kitchen and overall venue, helping us deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inventory Management
- Efficiently manage all incoming deliveries and verify them against purchase orders.
- Ensure all products are stored properly, following company standards and FIFO protocols.
- Communicate product needs or discrepancies to purchasers and chefs.
Sanitation and Organization
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of receiving areas, the kitchen, and the venue.
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation guidelines.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including wiping down and sanitizing workstations.
Team Support
- Collaborate with chefs, management, and co-workers to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow supervisor instructions and provide assistance as needed.
Professional Standards
- Represent the company with a professional and positive attitude.
- Attend pre-service meetings and participate in training sessions or departmental meetings.
- Report any breakage, damage, or discrepancies to management promptly.
What We’re Looking For
- Completion of company-provided Receiver training and Food Handling Certification.
- Previous experience in receiving or stocking roles preferred.
- Familiarity with high-volume operations is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods (up to 50 lbs.).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
