Little Ruby’s Cafe is excited to bring its signature hospitality to Williamsburg, Brooklyn! We’re looking for a Restaurant Operations Manager to help lead our front-of-house team and ensure a seamless guest experience. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is passionate about hospitality, team development, and operational excellence. New restaurant opening experience is a plus!
As the Restaurant Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, and leading a team dedicated to delivering warm, professional hospitality. You will oversee guest experience, team management, training, scheduling, and operational efficiency, working closely with senior leadership to uphold Little Ruby’s Cafe’s high standards.
- Ensure a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any service issues.
- Lead by example, upholding Little Ruby’s Cafe’s commitment to excellence.
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house employees to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Schedule and manage shifts, ensuring proper coverage and labor efficiency.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through strong leadership.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed correctly.
- Manage POS functions, approvals, and financial reconciliation at end of shifts.
- Maintain inventory and ordering of operational supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (DOH & company policies).
- Communicate clearly and concisely with back-of-house team to maintain smooth service.
- Oversee repair and maintenance needs for equipment, furniture, and venue facilities.
- 2-3 years of restaurant supervisory/management experience in a high-volume setting.
- Strong guest service skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and problem-solve.
- Knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Office, and restaurant technology tools.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive leader.
- New restaurant opening experience is a plus!
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
