Job Summary
Little Scholars Preschool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to support our Head Teacher/Director in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool children.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Supervise and engage with students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, helping them with their tasks and personal development.
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
- Attend and participate in school events, open houses, and parent orientation.
- Assist in planning and coordinating special events such as field trips and family events.
- Maintain all required certifications, including CPR, First Aid, and medication administration.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in daycare or a preschool setting is preferred.
- CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for educating and nurturing young minds is essential for success in this role.
- Positive, flexible, and patient attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle classroom situations professionally.

Application Question(s):
- Are you able to work a set schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30-1:15 with occasional fill-in days on Tuesdays and Thursdays to cover teacher absences, teacher assessments, parent/teacher conferences, or other reasons deemed necessary by the director?
