Teacher Assistant - this is a full-time and part-time position!

Our center is designed to provide opportunities for children to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and positive relationships. Our goal is to provide all of the children in our care with a clean, safe, comfortable, loving environment where they can play and learn. Our approach to teaching can be described as a sharing of knowledge between child and an adult, in a hands-on atmosphere.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Working with children from 6 weeks – 5 years of age
· Collaborating with other teachers to create developmentally appropriate activities.
· Ensuring daily care of each child in the program by adhering to all the standards as per the licensing requirements
· Curriculum implementation
· Adherence to New York State Regulations and work as a team to follow the classroom schedule
Job Requirements
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Experience caring for children (preferred)
· Energetic
· Punctual
Additionally, once hired, candidates will complete teacher preparation training programs in accordance with NY state regulations and receive on-going training with many professional development opportunities.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Skills:
· Classroom management
· Ability to educate and engage young children through various teaching methods.
· Experience in behavior management techniques for young children.
· Lesson planning expertise for early childhood education curriculum
· Knowledge of toddler care best practices.
