Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Pre-SchoolTeacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves following engaging lesson plans, facilitating learning through play, and supporting the developmental needs of each child in the classroom.
Criteria:
- Must be 18 years or older (preferably 21 )
- Have a fun, flexible, kind & caring heart towards children and others.
- Desire to pour into the young lives of our future generation, through developmentally appropriate practices.
- Background in working with children.
- Able to pass background & fingerprint screening, as well as, a drug test.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to follow daily routines and lesson plans.
- Complete the mandatory DCF requirements and hours.
- CPR & First Aid Certification.
Responsibilities
- Follow and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Be able to take instruction by leadership.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to lead teachers.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their individuality and self-expression.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Incorporate various teaching methods including Montessori principles, literacy education, and special education strategies as necessary.
- Maintain open communication with leadership.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom.
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience in early intervention techniques to support children with diverse needs.
- Ability to learn to understand the needs of pre-schoolers.
- Ability to create soothing and engaging activities that cater to different learning styles.
- Ability so sooth children, without the use of technology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and leadership.
- A nurturing attitude combined with strong organizational skills to manage classroom dynamics effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
