Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and early education, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This role involves engaging with children in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development. The Daycare Provider will work closely with children of different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Duties
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met including feeding, diapering, and comfort.
- Educate children on basic life skills through play-based learning.
- Monitor children's behavior and development, providing support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare space.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Assist in managing classroom activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience in toddler care or nannying is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education techniques or working with individuals with disabilities is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children are essential qualities.
- Previous experience in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.
