Job Description:
The Restorative Nursing Aide is responsible for assisting/monitoring Residents as they perform exercises designed to improve/maintain their mobility, range of motion and bodily functions. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a certified nursing assistant, preferably in a long term care setting. Knowledge of techniques and practices of restorative nursing is required. The candidate must be able to lift, transfer and reposition residents throughout the workday. Knowledge of the basic rules of sanitation and aseptic techniques, infection control, universal precautions, and ability to maintain confidentiality are essential. Reliability in attendance and punctuality is a key function of the job.
Skills Required:
- Two years as a certified nursing assistant, preferably in a long term care setting
- Knowledge of techniques and practices of restorative nursing
