About Us:
Little Sprouts Learning Center is a Christian-based childcare facility dedicated to nurturing children aged 6 weeks to 4 years in a safe, loving, and educational environment. Our team is passionate about helping children grow and thrive through age-appropriate learning and care.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Childcare Cook to join our team and play a vital role in providing nutritious meals for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to our 4-week rotating menu.
- Ensure all meals meet the center’s nutritional and allergy guidelines (e.g., peanut-free).
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to DSS, ABC, and DHEC regulations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices, including daily cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment.
- Keep inventory of food supplies and report any shortages to management promptly.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences as communicated by parents.
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure mealtime runs smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in meal preparation, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare balanced, nutritious meals for children.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass background checks and health assessments as required by DSS and DHEC.
