Job Description:
Little Sprouts Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a motivated, friendly, and skilled individual to join our team as a Dental Business Coordinator/Dental Assistant. In this dual role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our growing practice while providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to optimize patient flow and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Handle patient inquiries, registration, insurance verification, and billing processes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist dental providers during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and provide chairside assistance as needed.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with dental team members to facilitate treatment planning, financial arrangements, and insurance claims processing.
- Support administrative tasks such as inventory management, equipment maintenance, and office organization.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in dental assisting preferred.
Proven experience in [dental office administration and/or dental assisting] roles.
[Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing practices.]

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed.
- Take dental X-rays and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Proficiency in dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient communication.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Certification or training in X-Ray procedures is highly desirable.
