Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Floater to join our team. The Floater will provide support across various classrooms, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for students while assisting teachers . This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a positive impact on young learners.
Starting part time leading to full time. Possibly be on call during part time.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Supervise and engage with students during playtime, meals, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support curriculum development by contributing ideas that enhance learning experiences in a Montessori or traditional setting.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Adapt to various classroom settings as needed, providing coverage for teachers during planning periods or absences.
Skills
- Experience working with students in a private school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices, including Montessori methods.
- Familiarity with toddler care and preschool curriculum development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children through engaging activities and support.
