Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages. The Daycare Assistant will help implement educational activities, manage behavior, and ensure the well-being of all children in our care.
Duties
- Assist in supervising and engaging with children during playtime and educational activities.
- Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and daily schedules.
- Help manage children's behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the daycare environment.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and comforting as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and any incidents that occur during care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education, first aid, and other relevant areas.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively support children's emotional needs.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in babysitting, nannying, or providing infant care is desirable.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum or special education practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- A genuine love for children and a commitment to fostering their growth and development.

Pay: $13.32 - $14.13 per hour
