A Day in the Life of a Behavioral Support Specialist
- Direct Support : Provide one-on-one instruction to clients in classroom, home, and community settings to individuals impacted by autism.
- Skill Development : Work with chidren impacted by autism to improve communication, social skills, toilet training, functional play, and gross / fine motor skills.
- Data Collection : Monitor and record clients' progress toward behavioral goals each day.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other Behavior Technicians and Supervisors to ensure consistent and effective ABA therapy, the gold standard treatment for autistic individuals.
- Training : Participate in a comprehensive two-week training course to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed.
