About the Position :
Starting in August 2025, the Elementary English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher will instruct elementary students at Little Tiger Chinese Immersion School.
The teacher will plan and conduct lessons in a team environment which includes the director, lead teachers across elementary grade levels, and peers in the English Language Arts department. The teacher will also collaborate with Chinese Language Arts colleagues in order to ensure curricular alignment, reinforcing key skills and themes across both languages.
The ideal candidate will possess :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English or a related field
- Passion for teaching and investment in students
- Three or more years of elementary classroom teaching experience strongly preferred
- Experience teaching phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar and mechanics
- Excitement about working in an innovative dual-language Chinese-English context
- Ability to adapt curricular resources to meet students’ particular needs
- Familiarity or experience with adaptive programs such as Lexia, IXL, iReady, and Freckle is preferred but not required
Salary : $60,000-$66,000 / yr, based on experience
