General Responsibilities:
Perform all clerical activities relating to inbound receipt of Finished Goods, outbound shipments to customers, and daily interaction with material handlers and production. Perform material handling responsibilities when needed. Lead the shipping team when needed.
Job Duties:
· Prepare daily labels and paperwork according to the traffic schedule each day.
· Assist working Lead by prioritizing and delegating assignments to material handlers.
· Interact and coordinate carriers as they are presented.
· Perform necessary system transactions upon completion of scheduled shipment.
· Interact effectively with plant, office, and vendor contacts.
· Update trailer locations in traffic system.
· Update and maintain labor tracking database.
· Organize and file required paperwork for finance.
· Perform material handler responsibilities as needed using clamp trucks. Pallet jacks, etc.
· Other duties as assigned by Lead or Distribution Manager.
· Maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
· Help to maintain inventory integrity.
· Perform any safety related duties required.
· Support traffic after hours.
· Perform inventory transactions after hours.
· Perform all material handler functions.
Requirements:
· Should have considerable working knowledge of Microsoft products.
· Ability to learn and to use all inventory, billing and traffic systems within 3 weeks.
· Possess good math skills.
· Must have good organizational skills.
· Must be detail oriented with high accuracy and quality of work.
· Positive disposition and enthusiasm to be a team player.
· Strong interpersonal skills and service oriented.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be self motivated to work with little supervision.
· Should not have more than a single written reminder in the last six months.
· Must be safety conscious.
· Must be able to lift a maximum of 80 pounds.
· Must have a forklift license or be able to obtain one within 1 week.
· Must learn all safety requirements and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $24.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
