Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher and Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher and substitue in classrooms creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children, toddler and infants. This postion will assist in implementing lesson plans, engaging students in educational activities, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Educate and engage children through hands-on activities, games, and creative projects.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child by providing individualized attention and care.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative learning environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher as necessary.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, as well as expierence with children of all ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in lesson planning or educational program development is advantageous.
