What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant room closer position at Little Wonderland Daycare?
Part time or fulltime teacher for our infant room . Our teacher need to be a good role model for the children and maintain a clean and safe environment. Must be dependable and willing to close the babyroom.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: assisting with creating & implementing the daily lesson . Must be able to meet the high demands of an infant, changing diapers, etc.. . Must be able to work independently and work as a team. Must be 18 , with a high school diploma or equivalent Over 1 year experience in childcare is necessary. CPR/ First Aid certified, Must be willing to take continuing classes to make them state regulated. Must be able to pass all state background checks. Hours are 30-40 hours a week depending on availability .

The Closer plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for students and families at the end of the day. This position involves managing the closing procedures, providing exceptional care, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children. The Closer will work closely with staff to ensure that all children are accounted for and that their needs are met as they prepare to leave.
Duties
- Oversee the closing process of the facility, ensuring all children are safely picked up by authorized individuals.
- Educate parents and guardians on daily activities and any relevant updates regarding their child’s progress.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive atmosphere during closing hours.
- Assist in the care of infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort until they are picked up.
- Provide support to staff in managing end-of-day tasks, including cleaning and organizing the space.
- Engage with children in meaningful ways, promoting childhood development through play and interaction.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during closing hours.
Skills
- Strong ability to educate children and parents about developmental milestones and daily activities.
- Experience working with students in various capacities, including daycare, babysitting, or nannying.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively handle challenging situations.
- Familiarity with infant care practices and early childhood development principles.
