The school welcomes children from 6 weeks to 6 years old in a Montessori inspired environment. One of our goals is to truly treat each child as their own person by guiding them in their learning experience here a LWP.
Job Description:
Little Woodland Preschool is looking to hire a positive and flexible teacher who is caring and enthusiastic to be teaching and shaping young minds in these critical years of learning. The ideal candidate would have experience in early childhood education and be lead certified.
Daily Job Duties
Please note that this does not include all daily duties, but provides a snapshot of what we are looking for.
- A teacher be willing works in pairs and collaboration with other teachers.
- Be responsible for general classroom management, supervision and caretaking of children in their care.
- Create and nurture relationships between the children enrolled at LWP and families.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Follow and stay in compliance with all state and federal standards
- Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities that allow them to learn through play-based activities
- Build open, friendly and cooperative relationships with each family and be able to effectively communicate on a daily basis in both verbal and written forms.
- Track and reflect on the growth of the students to implement new teaching strategies.
- Interact daily, with a positive attitude to both the students in the classroom, co-workers, and parents.
- Promote parent-child bonding and nurturing parent relationships.
- Execute proper diapering and feeding procedures set in place by LWP.
- Execute and maintain proper cleaning procedures set in place by LWP.
Skills and Qualifications
These skills and qualifications are for the ideal teacher. You do not have to all have qualifications to be hired but need to be willing to obtain credentials needed.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be at least 18 years or older
- Lead Qualified
- Willing to continue eduation
- Training in Montessori
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
