Position Overview: District Supervisor
The District Supervisor will oversee and manage the operations of several Littlefield Express convenience store locations within a designated district. This position will be responsible for ensuring the stores meet operational standards, drive profitability, and provide exceptional customer experience. The District Supervisor will support store managers, handle staffing, assist with budgeting, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple locations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple store locations, ensuring adherence to Littlefield Express' standards and policies.
- Monitor store performance to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Ensure all stores are adequately stocked, organized, and clean, meeting company standards for merchandise and facility maintenance.
- Staffing & Training:
- Hire, train, and develop store managers and team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Provide ongoing support to store managers, offering guidance and addressing operational challenges.
- Ensure proper scheduling, staffing, and payroll management across all stores to meet business needs and control labor costs.
- Sales & Profitability:
- Monitor sales performance across all locations and work with store managers to implement strategies that increase revenue.
- Analyze financial reports, including sales, expenses, and profit margins, and take corrective actions as necessary to meet financial targets.
- Drive store-level marketing and promotions to increase foot traffic and customer engagement.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure that all stores deliver excellent customer service and maintain a customer-first mindset.
- Conduct store visits to assess customer service, store presentation, and product availability.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Inventory & Merchandising:
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stores are stocked with high-demand products and items are rotated as needed.
- Collaborate with store managers to ensure products are properly displayed and organized to attract customers.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to minimize shrinkage and stock discrepancies.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all stores comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards, including health, safety, and environmental laws.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure stores are following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
- Ensure all stores are fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, such as labor laws and liquor regulations, where applicable.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets for each store in the district and monitor their performance.
- Control operating costs, including labor, inventory, and overhead, while ensuring stores meet financial goals.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to improve overall financial performance.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager regarding store performance, customer feedback, and any issues.
- Maintain open and effective communication with corporate management and other departments.
- Foster a positive relationship between corporate headquarters and store teams to ensure alignment of goals and expectations.
- Promotions & Community Engagement:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement local promotions, special events, and marketing initiatives.
- Build relationships with the local community to enhance brand presence and engage with potential customers.
- Participate in local events or sponsorships to drive store visibility and customer loyalty.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced retail environment with occasional travel required to visit store locations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the needs of the district.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking and standing during store visits and inspections.
