This position can be worked remotely from Kansas City.
Responsibilities
- Streamline application and service deployment process by implementing systems to automate the building, deploying, and testing of software.
- Plan and implement the build, configuration, test, and deployment activities across multiple application development projects within an enterprise environment.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and development teams to make sure the deployment process best practices and other non-functional requirements are considered early in lifecycle of development.
- Develop and manage configuration tools.
- Interface with various project stakeholders and cross-functional teams, such as development, QA, and infrastructure operations.
- Develop utility scripts for deploying and validating new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment, then provide “as built” documentation to production support once completed.
- Create and enhance internal OS deployment tools and processes.
- Use system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents.
- Perform other/additional duties as assigned.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Configuration Management: Octopus Deploy (preferred) or similar
- Continuous Integration: TeamCity (preferred) or similar
- Source control: Git
- Database Deployments: Microsoft SQL Server, Redgate, or similar
- Shell Scripting: PowerShell
- Systems Administration: Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux
- Programming Languages: .NET/C# (preferred), JavaScript, or others
- Experience working in agile development team environment.
- Able to configure and deploy within multiple hosting services Azure, OnPrem.
- Experience working in a converged infrastructure environment. Including working knowledge of Storage, Compute platforms, Hypervisors, and Network topologies.
- Comfortable with frequent, incremental code, testing, and deployment cycles.
- Experience with JIRA and the entire Atlassian suite preferred.
- Can setup continuous delivery by using build pipelines and release pipelines.
