- Provide administrative support to the Coordinators of Special Education
- Meet deadlines for multiple Colorado Department of Education staff and student reports throughout the year
- Assist staff with Frontline (IEP program) questions and problems
- Manage contracts, invoices, and Infinite Campus lines of enrollment for out of district placed students
- Manage assessment materials for special education staff, including ordering and distributing to staff
- Fulfill special education requests for student IEP records from other districts
- Manage diagnostic files of exited students before sending to Central Records
- Create training classes in Performance Matters and document attendees
- Work cooperatively with the Student Support Services Team and support staff, as well as members of other teams, to ensure smooth flow of work
- Receive and return phone calls and communication from parents, principals, staff and community. Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain personal and district calendars with accurate information promptly
- Coordinate with other Student Support administrative assistants and team members to support large team projects and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Back up for other administrative assistant including job postings, hirings, resignations
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized courses in business, secretarial training or related field
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Two to five years of experience in a general secretarial position
- Knowledge of special education terminology and procedures a plus
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets and Google Docs/Sheets
- Oral and written communication skills; English language skills.
- Interpersonal relations skills; Customer service and public relations skills; Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
- Personal computer and keyboarding skills; advanced computer hardware and software skills; operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and Google.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with general office equipment, including telephones, copier, etc.
- Knowledge of operating, installing, supporting and maintaining PCs and associated application software preferred at hire.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Position Purpose
Responsible for assisting and supporting the Coordinators of Special Education, including performing administrative, accounting, organizational and reporting tasks as needed. Represent Littleton Public Schools in a positive, professional and informative manner. Keep privileged and sensitive information in strict confidence.
Essential Duties
This is a year round position, 253 days, 8 hours per day - 7:30 - 4:30
Start date July 1, 2025
Starting salary is Grade 8, 25.51/hour.
