Littleton Middle School Grade 6 Social Studies Teacher - Long Term Substitute(February 26, 2025 - March 27, 2025)Teach middle school social studies curriculum as indicated in the LPS Learning Expectations for History and Social Studies document; Embed the History Reading and Writing standards of the English Language Arts Curriculum Standards into social studies lessons; Plan and implement engaging social studies lessons using a variety of effective research-based instructional strategies; Differentiate lessons using strategies and materials that address a variety of academic, language, social, emotional, and physical abilities; Provide appropriate accommodations and modifications as outlined in student learning plans (e.g. IEP, 504, BCAP, and ISSP); Administer standards-based formative and summative assessments, including grade-level common assessments and use resulting data to inform instructional curricular decisions; Establish and communicate to students clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; Communicate with parents/guardians and students about student progress and needs; Meet with team teachers, counselors, and administrators regularly to discuss student progress; Maintain accurate and thorough student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations; Follow all administration policies and rules governing students; Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competency; Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required; Complete other related duties as assigned.
