- Oversight of school kitchen staff, production and service of school meals throughout the district.
- Maintain quality standards and monitor adherence to district standards in presentation, merchandising, taste and service.
- Monitor kitchen operations in compliance with health and safety rules established by federal, state and local agencies.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for all USDA child nutrition programs, including the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
- Assist in HR processes relate to hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating kitchen personnel.
- Communicate child nutrition programs to district personnel, students and the community.
- Implement and coordinate marketing activities related to school meals throughout the district.
- Background in nutrition (RD preferred) or food service management
- BS/BA in Food Science & Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or an Associate's degree with an academic major or area of concentration in Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Culinary Arts or Business and at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory experience (minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Administrative experience in food service (minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with others
- Dependable, organized and a team player
- Passionate about developing team members and leadership (previous training experience preferred)
- Knowledge of: School meal programs, food safety, food service software, nutrition education, nutrition education, food service operations, personnel management, google and microsoft suites
