- Provide technical assistance, solutions and support to building computer users and school staff.
- Installation, maintenance, and support of computer hardware and application software, including operating systems, electronic mail, Microsoft Office, and curriculum specific software. May assist in research and evaluate hardware and software options based on needs of building.
- Update and maintain building inventory using District inventory system. Collect, prepare and record outdated equipment for disposal.
- Maintain and coordinate building technology inventory, help requests, copier counts for building, databases maintained by ITS, including inventory and work orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary courses in microcomputer, computer software, and hardware equivalent to one year of college.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- One year and up to and including two years of experience in database administration, computer hardware, software and basic knowledge of networking.
- Oral and written communication skills; English language skills.
- Interpersonal relations skills; Customer service and public relations skills; ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
- Personal computer and keyboarding skills; advanced computer hardware and software skills; operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and Google.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with general office equipment, including telephones, copier, fax machine, etc.;
- Knowledge of operating, installing, supporting and maintaining PCs and associated application software preferred at hire.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred.
