    We are seeking a dynamic individual who exudes a passion for education and teaching and is excited to join our school community.

    Position Purpose:

    As an instructional leader, the STEAM teacher will support the staff in elevating educational technology tools in alignment with the district's goals. The STEAM teacher will regularly collaborate with teachers from all content areas in the building along with building momentum, competence, and confidence for all staff in implementing high-quality student centered learning experiences. The STEAM teacher will develop systems and structures to support student learning.

    Essential Duties:

    • Cultivate a Culture of Continuous Learning.
    • Have extensive experience teaching STEAM and project-based learning.
    • Demonstrate experience in the leading inquiry process.
    • Demonstrate commitment and experience in collaboratively planning with teachers.
    • Support innovative thinking, problem-solving and teaching practices.
    • Collaborate with LPS Instructional Specialists and the District Librarian.
    • Ability to effectively manage a flexible schedule.
    • Strengthen Personalized Instructional Strategies.
    • Create a learning environment based on feedback, student connections, high expectations, and effective classroom management.
    • Facilitate teaching and learning enhanced by digital resources when appropriate.

    Other Duties:

    • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with building and district staff.
    • Attend staff meetings, serve on committees, and attend workshops or in-service professional development activities.

    • Interpersonal relations skill; ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Recognizes opportunities for improvements, adapts to changes in responsibilities with a positive attitude.
    • Maintains consistent, regular attendance at work and follows district procedures for absence reporting.

    This is a full time position 187 day per year contract, starting for the 2025-2026 school year.
    Salary is determined by placement on Licensed Salary Schedule according to education and experience.


    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
    Successful applicants must be properly licensed for assignment as a Professional Educator according to the Colorado Department of Education.

    STARTING SALARY RANGE: (Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE)
    WORK YEAR: 187 contract days (district educator calendar)
