Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service during breakfast hours, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. This role involves food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with cash handling in a hotel environment.
Duties
- Prepare and set up the breakfast area, ensuring all food items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Serve breakfast items to guests, providing excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, utensils, and food stations throughout service hours.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure availability of breakfast items.
- Collaborate with the catering team to support special events or large group breakfasts as required.
- Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling practices at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Experience with cash handling and basic math skills for processing transactions.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate coffee machines and other kitchen equipment safely (knife skills may be required).
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good phone etiquette.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
