Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff in cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
- Develop cleaning schedules and assign tasks to team members based on occupancy levels and special requests.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding cleanliness in a prompt and professional manner.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, industrial cleaning techniques, and floor care maintenance.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and customer service standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills to motivate and guide staff.
