ABOUT LIV GOLF 

The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. Launched in 2022, the League was designed to expand the sport on a global level and create new value within the golfing ecosystem while enhancing the game’s societal impact. A landmark investment by LIV Golf also launched The International Series, a set of 10 enhanced events sanctioned by the Asian Tour, with elevated prize funds in world-class destinations, offering a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League. HISTORY 

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world. 

The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.  

LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and offseason roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.  

Away from the entertainment on the course, LIV Golf is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of the communities it visits through its ground-breaking social impact and sustainability strategy, ‘Potential, Unleashed.’ Named a 2024 Most Impactful award winner by Front Office Sports for utilizing its platform to make a positive impact off the course, the League is committed to giving back and improving the world through golf. 


The Brand Strategist at LIV Golf will be responsible for defining, protecting, and evolving the brand identities of all 13 teams, ensuring their distinct positioning is consistently and effectively translated across sponsorships, marketing activations, media, and merchandise. This role will serve as the creative spark and strategic gatekeeper—bridging team brand ethos with commercial objectives to drive market value and fan engagement. Working closely with internal stakeholders (marketing, sponsorship, partnerships, creative, design, social, LIV Studios, broadcast, retail, licensing) and external agencies, this individual will operationalize brand identity, oversee creative strategy execution, and ensure that branding efforts translate into tangible commercial success. 


Responsibilities
Operationalizing Brand Identity
 - Develop and implement brand guidelines for all 13 teams to ensure consistency across all touchpoints (social media, design, merchandising, experiential activations, sponsorship, etc.).
- Cascade and execute custom elevator pitches from brand identity workstreams for each team to align internal and external stakeholders.
- Create simple activation playbooks for teams, sponsorships, social, comms, retail, impact, and LIV Studios, ensuring a unified execution of brand identities. 
- Partner with internal teams to integrate team brands into league-wide narratives, broadcast storytelling, and fan engagement strategies. 


Creative Strategy & Agency Management
- Manage the relationship with creative agencies, ensuring all assets developed align with team brand ethos and LIV Golf’s overarching brand strategy.
- Lead creative ideation and execution of marketing and promotional assets that position teams in unique, compelling ways.
- Work cross-functionally to bring brand identities to life through campaign development, digital activations, and sponsorship integrations.
- Ensure agency work is delivered on time, on budget, and meets brand standards across all commercial and marketing initiatives. 


Driving Commercial Value Through Brand Identity
- Translate brand identity work into commercial strategies, enabling sponsorship and partnerships teams to prospect, pitch, and activate more effectively.
- Identify key categories and brand alignment opportunities for each team, ensuring potential partners align with team ethos.
- Develop compelling positioning and storytelling strategies to help sponsorship teams land major brand deals.
- Create activation playbooks that provide commercial partners with innovative ways to integrate with team identities.
- Identify new creative inventory opportunities and platforms within teams (e.g., unique jersey placements, digital activations, co-branded events, and new experiential branding elements).
- Ideate marketing activations for team prospects that are unique and align with business goals that drive results, amplify team brands and ultimately result in holistic, robust marketing partnerships 


Prospecting & Market Expansion
- Support sponsorship sales teams by helping define category-specific partnership opportunities that align with individual team brands.
- Guide prospecting strategies by ensuring brands are matched with the right teams based on ethos, values, and audience alignment.
- Monitor and evaluate brand performance, providing strategic recommendations on how to evolve brand positioning for commercial growth.

Develop and deliver comprehensive brand activation playbooks for all 13 teams.
- Successfully integrate team brand strategy into sponsorship pitches and activations, resulting in measurable increases in partnership engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing, digital, retail, and sponsorship touchpoints, with clear adherence to brand guidelines.
- Facilitate agency output, ensuring alignment with team brand ethos, delivering top-tier creative work that resonates with fans and partners.
- Identify and execute at least five major brand activations that bring commercial value and increase brand visibility.
- Increase internal adoption of brand identity guidelines, ensuring all cross-functional teams (social, comms, partnerships) apply team branding accurately.

Qualifications & Experience
7 years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, sponsorship, or creative agency roles, preferably in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
Deep understanding of sponsorship activation, marketing partnerships, and brand storytelling.

  • Strong creative instincts and experience working with agencies to develop campaigns and brand assets.
  • Proficiency in developing brand guidelines, activation playbooks, and commercial strategy frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    Experience in the golf, sports, or entertainment industry is a strong plus.
