Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Social Work Counselor to provide professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will use evidence-based practices to assess client needs, follow treatment plans, collaborate care with supervising clinician, and provide ongoing support to improve well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients with diverse needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify social, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Implement and follow personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for individuals facing trauma, abuse, addiction, or mental health disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community organizations to coordinate care.
- Advocate for client’s rights and connect them with necessary resources such as housing, financial assistance, or employment support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Educate clients and families on coping strategies, mental health awareness, and self-care techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest counseling techniques, social work practices, and community resources.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW).
- Certification: State certification as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Work Environment:
- Office, healthcare facility, or community setting.
- May require travel for home visits and outreach programs.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
Weekly schedule (36 hours per week minimum):
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday: 10am to 7pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,240.00 – $54,080.00 per year
